"I saw Jesus eating a snake"

Tonight NCC was having a communion service, so I chose to help out with Kid's Church downstairs with Peter & Julie. We had a time of asking God to give visions or impressions to the kids, and then we got some of them to share what picture (or whatever) God had given them. One little guy said, "I saw Jesus eating a snake." WHOAAAAA!!!! That's crazy!! Later we had the kids sit in groups of 2 or 3 and write skits for a puppet show performance. I sat with the same little boy and got him to dictate the fuller story behind the snake eating. He explained, I wrote. Here it is:

Jesus eating a snake
Jesus sat on a chair. And He flew a kite. And He got hungry. And He started getting a snake. The snake had been fighting someone. It was beating them up. Then Jesus ate the snake. Then Jesus said, "I will watch TreeHouse."

Pretty sweet stuff. I'm believing for a 'Visions Beyond The Veil' type of anointing to hit Kid's Church. Oh yeah!

A former Vision of 2005

When I was in Pemba, Mozambique in 2005 I was having a time of morning prayer and bible study when I remembered a vision the Lord had given me a couple of weeks prior. This was not a deja-vu type experience, but more like a revelation of something I needed to remember. It was powerful nonetheless.

I stood with Jesus in the African dirt and He talked with me, revealing things He had (wanted) for me and expressing His continual, unconditional love for who I was. A time later He bent down and drew a line in the dirt and stood back up and looked at me with an expression of seriousness that I shall never forget. He said, "I won't make you cross this line." I said back, "I want to though." He said, "This is completely your choice. I won't make you do this. If you choose to cross this line there will be no going back." So I stepped across the line. Jesus bent down again and this time He took His hand and erased the line. He stood back up and stared at me and said, "There is really no going back now. Even if you turn from Me and run, you can't cross back over this line. It is gone now. There is no returning."

That was perhaps the most sobering and serious experience I have had. I had forgotten about it until yesterday, and I am so glad that God brought it to my remembrance.

Oh, and here's a word that has some dire ramifications; I've been dwelling on this one for a few weeks now:
complacency: a feeling of contented self-satisfaction, especially when unaware of impending trouble

wednesday morning prayer meeting

There is a 9-11 scene with two huge towers constructed in the middle of a huge parklike area. It's actually like a forest but the trees are so small in comparison to the buildings that it looks more like a park. The two buildings are part of no city, they are out in the open, all alone and unhidden. The sun is shining in more than all it's strength. It's intense. Planes are flying towards the towers. There are people in the buildings and some are leaping out to their death from fear of the attacking enemy. The other people are standing in front of the windows with their eyes closed and their arms outstretched, worshipping the sun. The roofs are lit on fire by the extreme heat of the sun; they burst into flames. The sky is cloudless, it's a beautiful (but extremely hot!) day.
As the planes collide with the building they leave only small damage and minimal wreckage as they crumple against the awesome stability and solid structure of the towers. The scars that are left from the planes are minimal, but necessary.
The people in the buildings are fearless, eyes closed, worshipping God, as the planes collide, over and over again against the building. The onslaught ceases and the Believers radiate with the same heat and light as that which they worship.

The interpretation:
the sun = Jesus
planes = enemies attacks
jumping people = christians that are not strong in their relationship with the Lord
worshippers = Believers that know their standing in Christ
the towers = the temple of Holy Spirit
the area the towers are in = the life centered in God
no clouds in the sky = the strength of the Almighty in relation to the attacks of the enemy
fire roofs = the anointing the mature Believers will recieve to resist the enemy
the radiation at the end = the anointing the mature Believers will carry throughout their lives

This was a vision type thing that I recieved at the prayer meeting yesterday morning. It is one of the most indepth visions I have recieved in my walk with the Lord. It pales only in comparison to a couple I had in Pemba at the mission school. Pretty crazy. Just the beginning................or continuation..................
